Anticipated Games +Videos: Joan Of Arc

So ok, I'm just going to try integration fairly simply. The blog won't change much when it comes to the music sections, everything will still be updated as before. Game related sections will be a nice addition I think, of course this is because I'm a giant nerd.

The video for this week will also be included in this post.

First, check out this website, The Amateur. It's a humorous retelling of the events of Hitman: Blood Money told through the perspective of Agent 47

The following is just a short list of games that I'm looking forward to playing or whatever, more detailed news and updates and such will come next week after my much needed break.

Red Faction: Guerilla
Platform: 360, PC, PS3

Publisher: THQ
An FPS that I didn't pay much attention to before, mainly because it's an FPS. This installment looks extremely fun to play and while making your own paths by destroying buildings and walls is nothing new to the genre, it's always fun to do!

DC Universe Online

Platform: PC, PS3

Publisher: SOE

MMO's have never been games that I play a lot, even though I ate, slept, and breathed Phantasy Star Online for the Dreamcast during it's time. This MMO is appealing obviously because of the DC universe and all the characters included. Death is nonexistent here, KOs are substituted in which is nice, and the promise of fast-paced action and realistic physics add to the anticipation.

Killzone 2

Platform: PS3

Publisher: SCE

This is a game I've been waiting for forever. I absolutely loved Killzone when it came out in 2004, even though it was highly criticized for calling itself a "Halo-killer" and not living up to expectations. This sequel looks gorgeous and the gameplay mechanics sound great. Involvement of the motion-sensitive pad and the lumbering movements of the character will put you right in the action.

Far Cry 2

Platform: 360, PC, PS3

Publisher: Ubisoft
Another promising sequel that may turn me into a new fan of the series. This is like an evolved FPS that offers so much interaction with the environment and great detail in every nook and cranny. Exploration is encouraged by making you win a firefight in order to use a safehouse.

Infamous
Platform: PS3

Publisher: SCE
An adventure game worthy of the genre title, this game pits you in a huge city that is yours for the taking. Decisions you make will affect gameplay and how the city develops, which is always neat. Besides, having electrical powers and being able to crawl, climb, and jump all over the place is pretty fucking cool.

Silent Hill: Homecoming

Platform: 360, PS3

Publisher: Konami
I've never really liked the horror genre too much except for Resident Evil 0 because it was fresh and fun. This latest installment in the Silent Hill series looks to be something I could have hours of fun playing, even if these type of games...scare me. I can only play them for like, an hour at a time. But I digress, in this Silent Hill, your character is someone who can actually throw down with the grotesque creatures and carries an axe, making a nightly stroll seem not so scary.

Now, here's a video of Joan Of Arc, a band that words can not possibly describe.

Happy Fucking Thanksgiving

I'll spend the holiday avoiding family and friends ^_^

Au revoir!

Ramblings: Tired eyes edition

Unedited inner dialogue recorded during enjoyment of music.

Blasting off with Drive Like Jehu. Still so much to do in FFXII. Behemoth King took forever it felt like. Running out of space, probably shouldn't have got those three albums this week. Fuck that they're awesome. Lack of interest in Lack Of Interest at first, never again. The non-screaming Jeromes Dream tracks are still made of win. She was very irritable today, wonder why. Could I really be incorrigible? Encounters of the past are always awkward. Transition to Transistor Transistor. It's not supposed to feel like that. Makes me want to stick a knife up there. Vans. Dans. Dans vans almost everyday. Get Get Go better than Loma Prieta? Maybe. Nodding natively to Native Nod. Je n'aime pas moi-meme. Really. No shit. Always ignore the prettiest one in the room. Daughters is just too fucking amazing. These Comadre remixes are...weird. What the hell is Zuu anyway? When will we see the penultimate penumbra? What? Tony Jaa, I think that's how it's spelled. He's amazing also. Anomie, Anasarca, and Analena are always mistaken for each other inside here. That's odd. dream Big. Why would you spell it that way? Those fucking smiles. So misleading. I wonder what a bucket full of teeth looks like. Great choice for a band name. Efra is a good one too. I love this song. White lies and black spirits...I think.

For The Open-Minded Adventurer: Altoids edition

I was watching a deer feed on the uncut grass in my backyard and realized...nothing. It was a nice scene to witness though ^_^

01. Takaru - Pic N Choose
02. XbXrX - Suffocation
03. Bright Eyes - Falling Out of Love at this Volume
04. The Sawtooth Grin - Please Shit All Over Me, I Love It
05. Walrus Hunt - The Ivory
06. Neutral Milk Hotel - Holland, 1945
07. Jake Shimabukuro - Dragon
08. Arsonists Get All The Girls - This Time You're Gonna Get it Dirty Shirley
09. Bloodlet - Whitney
10. Circle Takes The Square - Kill The Switch
11. The Locust - Backbones Of Jack Asses
12. Combatwoundedveteran - Let the Surgical Strike Begin

Two tests this week, one I'm sure I'll do fine on, the other...not so much. Still, I'm enjoying French a lot more than Spanish :/
Also: Bloodlet is fucking fantasticabolous
