Game Updates: 3.31.09

People from the Salvation Army are in my house right now, taking shit we don't use anymore :/ Eh...I'm pretty tired so I'll make this short, lack of motivation and time plaques me for now.

Starting tomorrow, the PS2 will be priced at $99.99, a cut that's....cool I guess :/ If you live in the UK however, no price cut for you! If you ask me, there are a lot better things you could spend $100 on.

That's all I got that's interesting :/

Recent Releases:
Guitar Hero: Metallica (360, PS3, Wii) Because you're so kvlt
Dungeon Hero (360, PC) Because...well I dunno why
The Humans (DS, PC) I like the title and the cover...
Dawn of Fantasy (PC) Another cool cover and it seems like an interesting RTS
ARMA II (360, PC) I have no idea what this is

Game Updates: 3.24.09

Ok....I'm scared that I can't stop listening to Bring Me The Horizon :/ so srs

It seems Max Payne 3 is FINALLY going to come out :/ Expected to be released in the winter next year for the 360, PS3, and the PC, it's being developed by Rockstar North, good news. I didn't play too much of the first game, but I really enjoyed the sequel...

Sony has decided to slash the price of PS3 development kits, not surprising after many publishers were calling for some kind of price cute recently. The newest development kit is aorund $2,000, some previous kits were as high as $10k :/ They'll also be making the software more easy to work with, including new tools...

Havok, which is known best for it's Physics engine, is now offering A.I. as part of it's toolset. Sounds good....but could possibly led to a standardization of A.I., not a good thing.

One of the 3 new titles meant to breathe life back into the Need For Speed series, Shift, is set for release on the 360, PS3, PSP, and PC September 22 in the U.S. EA has stated that this new game will be more centered around the driving experience than previous games in the series and be oriented around a first-person driving perspective...not sure how I feel about that :/ I hope it's an option, other wise that sounds shitty. Don't try to be Gran Turismo guys.

Releases to look out for...

The Last Remnant (PC) Looks kinda win...
Pokeman Platinum (DS) Because you know you still want to play it
Wanted: Weapons of Fate (360, PC, PS3) Just to see how fucking bad it is
Ultimate Ninja 4: Naruto Shippuden (PS2) LOL
Wheelman (360, PC, PS3) Vin Diesel, brah
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time (DS, Wii) Wait...again?
Dark Sector (PC) This could either be really good or an epic failure. Or mediocre :/
Tenchu: Shadow Assassins (PSP) I loved these games on the PS1 :(

Listening to the new Vanna album, sadly, it's what I expected.

Ramblings: sore shoulder edition

Ekkaia, fucking awesome. Fuck, why does my shoulder hurt so bad? I'm not a pitcher or anything....I want to form a band so bad! But I don't know anyone that I think would be interested in being in a hardcore/punk band with me on vox :/ Or I could use some shitty keyboard lying in my closet and play along with some chick I know who plays acoustic guitar and be like....a joke band. Or a serious of all seriousness twee band :/ What made me decide to listen to Gay For Johnny Depp? I don't know, but they're not so bad. Just listened to my friend's (Lukann) band, Our Cause was just, you guys should check them out, good Polish hardcore. Why does the conversation just...die like that in an instant? Talk all day and then...we go our separate ways like nothing. So wierd...but I guess I've come to expect it, maybe I'm part of the problem. The other day...that scenester that is always staring caught me glancing, fuck. So much school work to be done, will be in the photolab most of tomorrow and next week, the two rolls I developed today came out quite nice though, hope the prints look good all stuck together like he wants. Just got an email from PayPal :/ I have no money so, whatever. Daitro....I like them but...I don't know. I do like this song though, great song. Been listening to music since I walked into the lab earlier a little after 11am. Music never leaves. It's funny how bands like Cap'n Jazz and Saetia are kind of like a double-edged sword now, if you listen to them, you're not taken seriously by the "true" fans and listeners. Everyone has to start somewhere and those bands and others are great introductions, what's the point of keeping music a secret? I'm sure the musicians don't feel that way. Fuck, Curl Up And Die is awesome. I was listening to a Radiohead song earlier and I...I...I think I liked it D: Shoulder still killing me. Also feels like wind is blowing in my eyes...like when you're riding in the back of a truck or driving with the top down :/ Getting into Flag Of Democracy a lot lately, took me awhile to warm up to the style but....I love it now. I love my TV but...I'm regretting not buying that guitar I saw for a great price...pawn shops are fucking awesome. Liking the new header that's up....I made a great background for the blog also, but I'm still waiting to hear back from one of the persons whose photographs I used, the other guy said it was ok. Wonder how long I should wait...it hasn't been a week yet, not even close. Sometimes, I think German screamo is so much better than anything else out there, especially Tristan Tzara. Arsen AKA König Der Monster is another one. Wish Blogger allowed as many tags as Wordpress does....I just can't get enough of Noisy Sins Of The Insect.

Videos: Anomie

One of my absolute favorite bands, regardless of genre. Anomie was a french hardcore band that existed in the mid-to-late 90's, a thriving time for bands of the same style of hardcore. Kathleen's voice is simply orgasmic.

Enjoy>_> (1st song in the video is a great instrumental, but if you're dying to hear vox, then skip to the 3 minute mark. Asshole.)

Game Updates: 3.17.09

This is the 100th post since I started this blog in the summer, trying to stay consistent for the most part. I started out as having this as just a music blog, but it eventually turned into a gaming blog also a few months ago, something I'm glad I did. I plan to continue updating this regularly and adding more sections and hopefully other members, if anyone is interested...

Now on to this week's brief updates lol

Many publishers, including Activision Blizzard and EA, are calling for a PS3 price cut, something that so far seems unlikely. Publishers are focusing their efforts more on the other 2 consoles because they're seeing more revenue from them than the PS3 and they feel that if the price was cut, more people would buy PS3's, buying the publisher's games on the PS3 and therefore making more money for said publishers....I think a price cut wouldn't be so bad...but then again, I really want a PS3 and Killzone 2 :/

10 years ago today, Everquest was launched, turning many kids into the anti-social adults they are today :/ Congratulations!

The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has added Natsume to it's member list. Natsume is known for publishing the Harvest Moon series...well the games are cute.

Releases to look forward to...

GTA: Chinatown Wars (DS) FUCK YEAR!!!!
Resistance: Retribution (PSP) eh
Runes of Magic (PC) It's free! to play that is...
Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume (DS) Love this series
Suikoden Tierkreis (DS) Another good series...
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time (DS) Anything FF is sex
Rune Factory Frontier (Wii) Because the guy on the cover looks like Jack from Radiata Stories
Ready 2 Rumble Revolution (Wii) Because we all remember this game on the Dreamcast

And in music related news, Placebo has announced that their new album "Battle for the Sun" will be released on June 8th, I can't wait!

Game Updates: 3.10.09

Ok....I'm running out of space on my hard drive and my backup drive :( Guess I'll really need to be getting an external hard drive sometime soon if I want to continue with my awesome music collection :/

Rumors of a remake of the original Silent Hill game may be flamed even more now that the BBFC has classified a game called "Silent Hill"...or it could just be a new Silent Hill :/

A new release for the Resident Evil: Code Veronica series seems very likely in the near future, also something Resident Evil related for the Wii....really? Ok.

Time for some releases....

Resident Evil 5 (360, PS3) eh...
Madworld (Wii) Not too sure about this one....
Mana Khemia: Student Alliance (PSP) Nothing wrong with RPG's!

New #12 album "Worse Than Alone" is out today, I already have it :/ Will listen to lots later, maybe a review also.

Anticipated Games: 3.7.09

Fuck yeah, I love hearing about new games, even though most of time I don't have the money to purchase them :( Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze some funds from somewhere to get these 3 upcoming releases that look fucking epic as fuck!

Still haven't gotten around to buying Star Ocean 4 however >_>

Fuel
Platform: 360, PC, PS3
Publisher: Codemasters

This is a racing game, I usually don't play racing games but this one looks like the most...amazing game that just happens to be a racing game. Amazing and detailed character models, weather effects (tornado's FTW), and an enormous 14k square km environment makes me think this is going to be the only racing game worth playing for years to come. It's an off-road racing game I should mention, which is EXTREME D00D!!!

Read an amazing preview here.

Wet
Platform: 360, PS3
Publisher: TBA

Fuck Lara Croft, Rubi from Wet makes her look like Dora the Explorer. In this upcoming adventure game, you play as Rubi, a sword-wielding, gun-toting mercenary chick, gameplay is something like Devil May Cry, what with all the acrobatics and sword-gun combination. The fighting system definitely seems promising though.

Preview

AionGuard
Platform: 360 (May be mulit-platform)
Publisher: TBA

This game looks simply amazing, magic and giant flying bugs and dragons that you can ride and a gaint colossus thing that smashes everything in it's path. You play as some kind of reject who gets to don some epic armor by default (everyone dies or something LOL) and start to destroy shit. Seems like a pretty cool world, battlefields and the like.

Preview

Yeah, pretty awesome amiright?

Ramblings: Spring Break edition

Unedited inner dialogue recorded during music enjoyment

So glad spring break is here, fucking finally. Takaru, fuck yeah. Shit is serious hardcore. Poetry is a bitch, both to read and write and analyze. She's gone and I'm left all alone with my music and internet forums...but it's only temporary. I guess that's some kind of solace. Why is Above & Beyond the only trance I have in my library, I used to listen to the house station all the time. Guess I don't really know any artist names...a lone candle burning in the darkness against the glass, dancing. Never turn a fan on when you have a candle burning. Keep referring to myself as a lollipop these past few days, my hair is crazy and wild and makes my head look big on my frail frame. Like a lollipop...or a stick figure. Probably more like a stick figure. The clouds are still there but there's some sunlight peeking through, warming my face. That test was fucked, all that cramming and most of that shit wasn't even on the test! Why teach us shit and not put it on the test? He's a shitty teacher though, definitely the worst I've ever had. Spanish post-hardcore...not so bad actually. Act Of Depression was the best album they ever put out. Of course, they are not them anymore...too bad. Glee? Why have you come back to hunt me...ah, this is insane. Lit. teacher said my tattoo "looked like it hurt", don't see how it looks different than any other tattoo. Phone rings and rings but never rings because of who you want it to, like a false alarm of some sort. I've got to stop eating so much pizza, probably not good for me. I don't perceive. My kneecap is bothering me...still haven't heard the new Cursive album...should really get to it. Hard to tell the difference between friendly and flirty most of the time, especially when it's someone....like that. Thought about going to a show tonight, an old place is in a new location and the owner is back...but the lineup didn't look to good from my perspective, I'll pass until some decent bands come through. Still trying to figure out the best way to see Suis La Lune in a few weeks. Only a few more days until the new #12 album...can't wait. I wonder how many people will come back from spring break with a partner...or without the one they had before the break started out. I'll be right where I am now, unless...

Game Updates: 3.3.09

Been a while since I've put some news in these things...

Microsoft has finally decided to stop it's support for the original Xbox, which makes sense, it's been about 9 years :/

A brand new 30-person team has been formed for the development of Mass Effect 2 at EA Montreal by BioWare

Nintendo is releasing a classic controller for the Wii, but only in Japan :/

I'm sure you've all heard now that GTA IV: The Lost and Damned broke DLC records, accumulating more first day revenue than any other downloadable title to date. Not a big surprise if you ask me...

Now for some releases of interest...

Halo Wars (360) :/
Tom Clancy's HAWX (360, PS3) I've seen Tom Clancy games every since I can remember :/
Watchmen: The End Is Nigh (360, PC, PS3) for the lulz
Phantasy Star Portable (PSP) Loved this series ever since the Dreamcast :D
Tomb Raider: Underworld (PS2) Really???
The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match (360, PS2) A game from 11 years ago, w00t!
Grey's Anatomy (DS, PC, Wii) WTF?!?!?

For The Open-Minded Adventurer: money definitely cures edition

So just the prospect of a little snow delays classes here for two fucking hours, more god damned make-up work :/ That plus the fact that my literature teacher canceled Friday's class because her kids were sick means lots of extra assignments...it never ends.

01. I, Robot - 2017
02. Hugs - Glacier
03. Amber Inn - Winter She Whispered
04. Texas Is The Reason - Something To Forget (Version II)
05. Hot Cross - Dissertation: 14
06. Dasein - Untitled 07
07. Saltillo - A Hair On The Head Of John The Baptist
08. Suis La Lune - Dance Red River, Dance!
09. Neil Perry - There Was Definitely A Point When The Victim Passed Out...Then The Killer Kicked Him
10. 324 - Mugen no Saka
11. Give Up The Ghost - Your Arsonist
12. Bright Eyes - Saturday as Usual

Give up the girl...

Absolutely love my new phone...it does everything :/ Bad thing about that is...I'll probably be on fmylife.com in class instead of paying attention >_>
