Videos: A Case Of Grenada live @ Grassriver Festival

Performing their song, "Artificial Sun Kills Ideologists". One of my favorite vocalist, one of my favorite bands.

As I've always said, I've never heard a German hardcore band that I didn't like.

Game Updates: 4.21.09

So. Numb. Not much to report on...or maybe I just don't feel like it right now, eh.

Bethesda has announced that the title for the next game in the Fallout series is going to be Fallout: New Vegas. The studio behind the game will be Obsidian Entertainment and will be developed for the 360, PC, and PS3 and scheduled to be released in 2010. It won't be a direct sequel to Fallout 3 according to sources.

Time for releases of interest....
Cryostasis: The Sleep of Reason (PC) FPS set in a Russian nuclear station, 'nuff said.
Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 (360, PS2, PS3) I didn't even know this combination was possible...
Zeno Clash (PC) Because the title is pretty cash.

On a side note, I had a dream last night where I was at some outside party and there was a laaaaaarge bundle of...marijuana plants or something (It was 4/20 yesterday I know, but I didn't participate)? Anyway, it turned into some kind of Fallout 3 like dream, as in it felt like the game...hard to explain.

Videos: Converge

I love this band and I love this video, fucking hardcore and the fans at it's finest.

If that doesn't get your blood pumping, you're probably dead. Or dumb, you choose.
(If you want to be an asshole, skip to 2:30 to see the fight, including Nate hitting someone with a fucking bass.)

Game Updates: 4.14.09

I've got about 30 minutes before I have to head out again, fucking photography projects. I'll make this quick but not shitty, I want to keep this blog consistent with it's posts and such...the video tomorrow is one of my favorites so it'll make up for this!
Only news worth hearing about isn't anything really. Microsoft decided to extend it's 3 year warranty to cover E74 errors for the 360.
The company said that the E74 error message some users have encountered “can indicate the general hardware failure that is associated with three flashing red lights error on the console”.
--- Edge
Time for some recent releases:
Demigod (PC) Because you've always wanted to be one...plus it looks cool as fuck.
Still Life 2 (PC) I love games like this...too bad I never get to play them anymore.
Guitar Hero: Metallica (PS2) The music may not be so good (lolsellouts), but it's fun to pretend.
Samurai Shodown Anthology (Wii) It's a fucking classic bro.

Game Updates: 4.7.09

Ok...school is becoming a nuisance :( WHAT AM I SAYING??!?!

A new teaser trailer has been released by Ubisoft for Assassin's Creed 2...I really wanted to play the first one...still do. Kind of hard to do that with no PS3 though :/ The video features the Venetian inventor drawing by Leonardo da Vinci with some...upgrades?

A new shooter based in Iraq is set to come out sometime next year and will be titled "Six Days in Fallujah". The game will be developed by Atomic Games for the 360, PC, and the PS3, and also published by Konami. Hope it doesn't turn out as some mediocre FPS using the same old formula most war shooters follow.

The remake of Silent Hill, or rather, the "reimagining" has been given a title, "Silent Hill: Shattered Memories" and will be released on the 360, PC, and PS3. The main character will still be Harry Mason and I don't think the plot will change too much, just game mechanics and...well stuff like that :/

Interesting releases...
The Godfather II (360, PC, PS3) The first game was pretty good actually...
Elven Legacy (PC) For the lulz, obviously.
The Chronicles of Riddick (360, PC, PS3) Uhmmm...yeah :/
Ninja Blade (36) Ninjas!
Dragon Ball: Evolution (PSP) Again, for the lulz....I think this will be almost as horrible as the movie!
Hammerin' Hero (PSP) C'mon, you know this looks cool as fuck!

For The Open-Minded Adventurer: Restart edition

Everything seems so brand new, like a new start. A new outlook and new goals, finally.

01. Autistic Daughters - Gin Over Sour Milk
02. Gay For Johnny Depp - Delirium Approached (Slut Dust)
03. Alesana - Goodbye, Goodnight, For Good
04. Examination Of The... - Kicking A Dead Horse Aside
05. Carissa's Wierd - Blue Champagne Glass
06. Animal Collective - Also Frightened
07. Genghis Tron - Colony Collapse
08. Collin Kramer - Scattered My Soul
09. A Silver Mt. Zion - 13 Angles Standing Guard 'Round the Side of Your Bed
10. Cutting Pink With Knives - No Falcons
11. Angel Hair - New Rocket
12. Asebia - Treatment Is Useless

Cutting Hope With Reality...

It's amazing how one's outlook can change so suddenly. All because of one event that lasted for a moment...maybe it is better this way. It almost always is once you've had time to reflect and examine.

Ramblings: Discontinuity edition

I haven't really been doing these or the Virtual Synopsis lately...kind of busy and the usual lack of motivation....so I'm doing something different this time! No ongoing dialogue while I listen to my library on random...I'm kind of on a I-Listen-To-Albums-Not-Songs kick right now and I don't feel like fucking it up :/

I am listening to I Would Set Myself On Fire For You - ...Believes In Patterns right now though, one of my all time favorite albums (I seem to have a lot of those) and one of my favorite Screamo bands. They really did stand out form the other bands of the same genre, I would describe them as pure art, an experience not to be missed. Poetry, not song lyrics.

So just what am I going to talk about? I have no fucking idea. I planned on going to a local house show tonight, but shit changed and now I'm sitting here typing this after a pretty interesting day; filled with jubilation, pizza, and synthesizing. That's right, fucking synthfag here. Just starting out, I don't have one yet, just been playing around with some crazy shit I found on the web and trying to get an old keyboard of mine to work. I do plan on buying a Korg Microkorg very soon though, within 5 months...probably in 2 though. Can't fucking wait to start making shitty ass Noise with some really annoying vocals and sampling every fucking thing I can think of...like the sound of the bathroom fan you turn on when you're about to take a giant shit.

I don't even care about song structure or poetic lyrics, just want to have some fun and as long as I like it, it'll be worth the time and money and effort. Plus, it'll keep my mind off all the confusing shit I'm going through, fucking societal pressures. The local hipster crowd will eat that shit up though, OMG SO EXPERIMENTAL AND OBSCURE LOLOLOLOL

But am I not one of those kids?

Whatever, I look forward to it. I've had this great band name I've been waiting to use and now I have a reason to, the joke Grindcore band will have to wait. My head hurts from anticipation...but I finally have some motivation, something to strive for, a goal.

I seem to rarely post about games other than on Tuesday's....so ummm...well I haven't been playing much of anything lately.

Ok, that failed...time for some music recommendations or whatever.

Go here and download the album, trust me, it's fucking amazing. Best blind download I've had in a while.
Also: Cutting Pink With Knives

I'll also share this amazing thread with you if you haven't already seen it...I'm still working my way through it!
Epic music thread

And as always, if you see something mentioned on this blog that you like, ask me for it. I'm a pretty generous person.

Videos: Fuck Buttons live @ Club Downunder

One of my favorite bands, a little bit of noise and electronic and a minuscule of drone for you this time.

Enjoy it and smile.
