Uncharted 2: Among Thieves finally has an official release date: October 13th. I still have no PS3, but if I did, I would definitely be looking forward to this game. I'll probably buy one around Christmas time :)

It seems we're getting closer to an Xbox handheld gaming system, in a recent interview with Kikizo, Shane Kim discussed it's just a question of when.

Best Buy has announced they are offering a new PS3 bundle that will include the critically acclaimed Killzone 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4, all for $400. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me, I may go out and buy this next month!

Yeah, not a good week :c

Well, I've been playing Enchanted Arms and so far, it's barely mediocre. The fighting system is somewhat fun, although a little repetitive at times. The story is fucking horrible, so is the voice acting. The characters only have about 4 poses that they can only do in dialogue scenes :/ It's pretty easy at times, but the difficulty level rises pretty sharply from level to level, it's not balanced at all. That said, the game is still way too easy. The puzzles shouldn't even be called that, more like go to this room and flip the switch to unlock the door in that room. I still may write a full review when I actually complete it...

It was finally announced that Tekken 6 will be released on October 27th for the 360 and PS3. About damn time.

Best Buy has announced that they're going to start buying used games at stores in Dallas and Austin and testing to see if it could be a good idea to implement it in all their stores. A kiosk will scan the used disc to see if it works and will issue a gift card if it's in good condition. The kiosk's will also offer movies and games for rent. Sounds like a pretty neat idea to me, America doesn't do used games nearly as well as Japan.

Bethesda has announced that the title for the next game in the Fallout series is going to be Fallout: New Vegas. The studio behind the game will be Obsidian Entertainment and will be developed for the 360, PC, and PS3 and scheduled to be released in 2010. It won't be a direct sequel to Fallout 3 according to sources.

Only news worth hearing about isn't anything really. Microsoft decided to extend it's 3 year warranty to cover E74 errors for the 360.

The company said that the E74 error message some users have encountered “can indicate the general hardware failure that is associated with three flashing red lights error on the console”.

A new teaser trailer has been released by Ubisoft for Assassin's Creed 2...I really wanted to play the first one...still do. Kind of hard to do that with no PS3 though :/ The video features the Venetian inventor drawing by Leonardo da Vinci with some...upgrades?

A new shooter based in Iraq is set to come out sometime next year and will be titled "Six Days in Fallujah". The game will be developed by Atomic Games for the 360, PC, and the PS3, and also published by Konami. Hope it doesn't turn out as some mediocre FPS using the same old formula most war shooters follow.

The remake of Silent Hill, or rather, the "reimagining" has been given a title, "Silent Hill: Shattered Memories" and will be released on the 360, PC, and PS3. The main character will still be Harry Mason and I don't think the plot will change too much, just game mechanics and...well stuff like that :/

Ramblings: Discontinuity edition

I haven't really been doing these or the Virtual Synopsis lately...kind of busy and the usual lack of motivation....so I'm doing something different this time! No ongoing dialogue while I listen to my library on random...I'm kind of on a I-Listen-To-Albums-Not-Songs kick right now and I don't feel like fucking it up :/

I am listening to I Would Set Myself On Fire For You - ...Believes In Patterns right now though, one of my all time favorite albums (I seem to have a lot of those) and one of my favorite Screamo bands. They really did stand out form the other bands of the same genre, I would describe them as pure art, an experience not to be missed. Poetry, not song lyrics.

So just what am I going to talk about? I have no fucking idea. I planned on going to a local house show tonight, but shit changed and now I'm sitting here typing this after a pretty interesting day; filled with jubilation, pizza, and synthesizing. That's right, fucking synthfag here. Just starting out, I don't have one yet, just been playing around with some crazy shit I found on the web and trying to get an old keyboard of mine to work. I do plan on buying a Korg Microkorg very soon though, within 5 months...probably in 2 though. Can't fucking wait to start making shitty ass Noise with some really annoying vocals and sampling every fucking thing I can think of...like the sound of the bathroom fan you turn on when you're about to take a giant shit.

I don't even care about song structure or poetic lyrics, just want to have some fun and as long as I like it, it'll be worth the time and money and effort. Plus, it'll keep my mind off all the confusing shit I'm going through, fucking societal pressures. The local hipster crowd will eat that shit up though, OMG SO EXPERIMENTAL AND OBSCURE LOLOLOLOL

But am I not one of those kids?

Whatever, I look forward to it. I've had this great band name I've been waiting to use and now I have a reason to, the joke Grindcore band will have to wait. My head hurts from anticipation...but I finally have some motivation, something to strive for, a goal.

I seem to rarely post about games other than on Tuesday's....so ummm...well I haven't been playing much of anything lately.

Ok, that failed...time for some music recommendations or whatever.

It seems Max Payne 3 is FINALLY going to come out :/ Expected to be released in the winter next year for the 360, PS3, and the PC, it's being developed by Rockstar North, good news. I didn't play too much of the first game, but I really enjoyed the sequel...

Sony has decided to slash the price of PS3 development kits, not surprising after many publishers were calling for some kind of price cute recently. The newest development kit is aorund $2,000, some previous kits were as high as $10k :/ They'll also be making the software more easy to work with, including new tools...

Havok, which is known best for it's Physics engine, is now offering A.I. as part of it's toolset. Sounds good....but could possibly led to a standardization of A.I., not a good thing.

One of the 3 new titles meant to breathe life back into the Need For Speed series, Shift, is set for release on the 360, PS3, PSP, and PC September 22 in the U.S. EA has stated that this new game will be more centered around the driving experience than previous games in the series and be oriented around a first-person driving perspective...not sure how I feel about that :/ I hope it's an option, other wise that sounds shitty. Don't try to be Gran Turismo guys.

Ramblings: sore shoulder edition

Ekkaia, fucking awesome. Fuck, why does my shoulder hurt so bad? I'm not a pitcher or anything....I want to form a band so bad! But I don't know anyone that I think would be interested in being in a hardcore/punk band with me on vox :/ Or I could use some shitty keyboard lying in my closet and play along with some chick I know who plays acoustic guitar and be like....a joke band. Or a serious of all seriousness twee band :/ What made me decide to listen to Gay For Johnny Depp? I don't know, but they're not so bad. Just listened to my friend's (Lukann) band, Our Cause was just, you guys should check them out, good Polish hardcore. Why does the conversation just...die like that in an instant? Talk all day and then...we go our separate ways like nothing. So wierd...but I guess I've come to expect it, maybe I'm part of the problem. The other day...that scenester that is always staring caught me glancing, fuck. So much school work to be done, will be in the photolab most of tomorrow and next week, the two rolls I developed today came out quite nice though, hope the prints look good all stuck together like he wants. Just got an email from PayPal :/ I have no money so, whatever. Daitro....I like them but...I don't know. I do like this song though, great song. Been listening to music since I walked into the lab earlier a little after 11am. Music never leaves. It's funny how bands like Cap'n Jazz and Saetia are kind of like a double-edged sword now, if you listen to them, you're not taken seriously by the "true" fans and listeners. Everyone has to start somewhere and those bands and others are great introductions, what's the point of keeping music a secret? I'm sure the musicians don't feel that way. Fuck, Curl Up And Die is awesome. I was listening to a Radiohead song earlier and I...I...I think I liked it D: Shoulder still killing me. Also feels like wind is blowing in my eyes...like when you're riding in the back of a truck or driving with the top down :/ Getting into Flag Of Democracy a lot lately, took me awhile to warm up to the style but....I love it now. I love my TV but...I'm regretting not buying that guitar I saw for a great price...pawn shops are fucking awesome. Liking the new header that's up....I made a great background for the blog also, but I'm still waiting to hear back from one of the persons whose photographs I used, the other guy said it was ok. Wonder how long I should wait...it hasn't been a week yet, not even close. Sometimes, I think German screamo is so much better than anything else out there, especially Tristan Tzara. Arsen AKA König Der Monster is another one. Wish Blogger allowed as many tags as Wordpress does....I just can't get enough of Noisy Sins Of The Insect.

This is the 100th post since I started this blog in the summer, trying to stay consistent for the most part. I started out as having this as just a music blog, but it eventually turned into a gaming blog also a few months ago, something I'm glad I did. I plan to continue updating this regularly and adding more sections and hopefully other members, if anyone is interested...

Now on to this week's brief updates lol

Many publishers, including Activision Blizzard and EA, are calling for a PS3 price cut, something that so far seems unlikely. Publishers are focusing their efforts more on the other 2 consoles because they're seeing more revenue from them than the PS3 and they feel that if the price was cut, more people would buy PS3's, buying the publisher's games on the PS3 and therefore making more money for said publishers....I think a price cut wouldn't be so bad...but then again, I really want a PS3 and Killzone 2 :/

10 years ago today, Everquest was launched, turning many kids into the anti-social adults they are today :/ Congratulations!

This is a racing game, I usually don't play racing games but this one looks like the most...amazing game that just happens to be a racing game. Amazing and detailed character models, weather effects (tornado's FTW), and an enormous 14k square km environment makes me think this is going to be the only racing game worth playing for years to come. It's an off-road racing game I should mention, which is EXTREME D00D!!!

In this upcoming adventure game, you play as Rubi, a sword-wielding, gun-toting mercenary chick, gameplay is something like Devil May Cry, what with all the acrobatics and sword-gun combination. The fighting system definitely seems promising though.

So glad spring break is here, fucking finally. Takaru, fuck yeah. Shit is serious hardcore. Poetry is a bitch, both to read and write and analyze. She's gone and I'm left all alone with my music and internet forums...but it's only temporary. I guess that's some kind of solace. Why is Above & Beyond the only trance I have in my library, I used to listen to the house station all the time. Guess I don't really know any artist names...a lone candle burning in the darkness against the glass, dancing. Never turn a fan on when you have a candle burning. Keep referring to myself as a lollipop these past few days, my hair is crazy and wild and makes my head look big on my frail frame. Like a lollipop...or a stick figure. Probably more like a stick figure. The clouds are still there but there's some sunlight peeking through, warming my face. That test was fucked, all that cramming and most of that shit wasn't even on the test! Why teach us shit and not put it on the test? He's a shitty teacher though, definitely the worst I've ever had. Spanish post-hardcore...not so bad actually. Act Of Depression was the best album they ever put out. Of course, they are not them anymore...too bad. Glee? Why have you come back to hunt me...ah, this is insane. Lit. teacher said my tattoo "looked like it hurt", don't see how it looks different than any other tattoo. Phone rings and rings but never rings because of who you want it to, like a false alarm of some sort. I've got to stop eating so much pizza, probably not good for me. I don't perceive. My kneecap is bothering me...still haven't heard the new Cursive album...should really get to it. Hard to tell the difference between friendly and flirty most of the time, especially when it's someone....like that. Thought about going to a show tonight, an old place is in a new location and the owner is back...but the lineup didn't look to good from my perspective, I'll pass until some decent bands come through. Still trying to figure out the best way to see Suis La Lune in a few weeks. Only a few more days until the new #12 album...can't wait. Braid is always a great way to start anything, a day, a story, or whatever whenever. Listened to some Pantera earlier...not sure how I feel about that. Wasn't so bad I guess. I wish I could remember those nebulous dialogues and conversations and readings from imaginary books that occur in my mind in the early hours of the morning when I'm drifting in and out of consciousness. So weird that I never understand what the hell I'm talking about, should start writing them before the morning shower. Finished Ada, or Ardor and now on to Tolstoy's Anna Karenina. Haven't meet the star yet, just her brother and Levin. Konstantin is a pretty cool name. Andy Yorke is pretty good, simple and enjoyable. Still wondering what the fuck happened in such a short amount of time, not even a day! Stagnated without notice or hesitation and now things are back to the way they were. Probably better this way. Vocals on Devola will always be one of my favorites. Only played the game of revenge once, lost horribly and embarrassingly. No words could heal that. Suis La Lune is actually coming to NC, holy fuck! I hope they don't cancel or anything like that, it's like a 3 hour drive from here but seeing those guys live is definitely worth it. Can you still call it a band if there's only one member? If you're pretentious enough, I'm sure you could and can and will. Sometimes, everything just feels so new...raw and paralyzing. Shareminer has been rather disappointing for me lately, but I think I've found an alternative, used it before but never as the primary source. Ninja bunnies...cute and deadly...mostly cute though. Two new photography assignments stuffed into my full mouth today, papers due, art exhibits to attend, and tests to study for. An Albatross...could be better. This song is decent though. Hoping to find a blog I can contribute to or become a team member so I can upload, starting one on my own would be like pouring a glass of water into an ocean. Had to listen to some shitty French christmas song in class today, I should let them hear some Belle Epoque or The Flying Worker!. The people in that class are so uninteresting, like listening to high school kids some days. Really need to get Star Ocean 4 . The Fall Of Troy is catchy, fuck what he said. I really thought I was the only one who could be so fucking ambivalent towards someone, she rivals me and spites me and confuses me and teases me and kills me. Should have some more free time after this week, a satisfying realization, thoughts of relaxation. Why did they assume we were lying? It's extremely possible that we didn't see each other, and we didn't. Not that I would've noticed anyway, I never notice most people when I'm going through the day in my head. Fuck yeah, Sonic Youth's Kool Thing, goddamn she has the greatest voice ever. I don't wanna, I don't think so. I probably spent too much on that HDTV glowing in front of the room, but it was probably worth it...it's pretty. Pears are much better than apples and bananas, should make sure to pick up some peaches next time. This upcoming summer promises happiness, hot sun and breezy beaches and strange people in a strange place, an island. Honeywell is the definition of epic, of course, this song would come on with the title that accurately depicts my feeling of self. That was so fucking false and stupid, turtles can not move that fast! And even if they could, why would he need a cane?

Psyopus - Odd Senses

Here's a quick review...

So I finally found the time to listen to Psyopus's new album "Odd Senses". I wouldn't say they're one of my favorite hardcore bands, but definitely one I respect and enjoy listening too. First off, the cover art is fucking beautiful, minimal but artistic. As soon as the first track ".44" started playing, I knew I was going to enjoy the next hour of music. The very next track, "Medusa" was fucking awesome, absolutely loved the vocals on this track, definitely a different style, but one I wouldn't mind hearing on every song. Another track worth mentioning is "Choker Chain" because the looped spoken samples of a female are hilarious, something that is prevalent through out the whole album. "A Murder To Child" is a wonderful masterpiece, I never felt that it was too long, all 9 minutes are rapturous and enthralling. The very last song on the album, the bonus track is, for lack of a better expression, a "one way ticket to hell". It gets sort of jazzy a little after the 5 minute mark, a very nice touch. There are a few commercials littered through out the 20 minute track, all of them equally silly and humorous. The use of "butt rape" is executed well, love how these guys don't take themselves seriously. And last but not least, the acoustic song near the end of the track is epic win, a must hear! All 11 tracks are great though, I'll even say I enjoyed this more than Fear Before's last release...

The album overall is extremely fast, hard, and chaotic as fuck. The distinct screeching guitar can get a little repetitive at times, not so much as to ruin anything though. I was not disappointed at all, in fact, I came away from this album liking this band more than I originally did. I think anyone who enjoys and knows what good music sounds like will enjoy Odd Senses, definitely worth purchasing. A much needed punch to the face and kick to the anus.

As you can see, the blog hasn't been updated as usual, school keeps me busy beyond the point of reason, I spend more time studying than sleeping :/ I will try, however, to update it every day this week, including the synopsis and rambling posts. On the upside of things, photography is becoming more of a passion than a course, becoming more adept at developing and use of techniques such as burning and dodging. Took some photos of a homeless woman I seen while speeding down a side street in between a Bojangles and a Wendy's, turned into the ginger's parking lot and hesitantly made my way towards the vagrant. Asked her if I could take her picture, she refused at first, gave in when I fished out a crumpled $5, then seemed enthusiastic about the whole situation. Odd.

Last mission completed was the one where you rig some car bomb on some mafia guy named Tony's car and then follow him for like, a fucking hour and then boom. Also eliminating everyone on the Alderney Most Wanted List, always fun to do in Niko's spare time.

Holy shit, I could sit in my jammies all day and play this game, not giving a fuck about anything else. Pathetic, I know. Trying not to be a "bad guy", not killing people who don't attack me and helping out those in need...and what's my reward? A fucking price on my head :/ Some mercenaries are after me, been tracked down about 3 times and almost died during the first encounter, crazy shit. Haven't really been doing anything with the story missions, just talked to the Moriarty guy, that's it, lulz. Been killing Raiders and exploring the vast land, scavenging what I can find and stumbling upon cool places and people, fucking vampires! Also helping that girl that owns some store in Megaton do research for some book, fun times.

Fallout 3 = OMFGWTFBBQSAUCE!!! I think I'm in love...so. much. to. do. I remember telling someone it was like a whole other world, like another dimension or some shit like that. Like...like GTA and some great RPG and a fun FPS and some kind of adventure game...it's beautiful :o Rapturous, orgasmic, ecstasy, coital, everything ever forever always!

If you're into manga or macabre literature, you should seriously check out Goth, a "novel of horror" by Otsuichi. The actual novel is lengthier, obviously, but the manga version is still worth getting, beautiful and gory artwork. One scene in the woods in particular of a murder victim made me look up and around at everyone while I was in a cafe/bookstore to make sure no one else saw the page.

Steelers won the Superbowl, such a fantastic game last night, totally did not expect it to be that interesting. I wonder if there will be any embarrassing pictures of Big Ben partying like the last time he won a Superbowl...

Oh, how I've missed thee! Started over in Franchise mode and went with the Ravens this time, I like Flacco :/ Won the superbowl in the first year and currently in the second year with a record of 9-2.

Charlie Brown Gets A Valentine, sweet. Guy in my French class looks like the vocalist from that band. My fucking stomach hurts like fuck, goddamn that hot chocolate. Nobody died in that plane crash so it won't be remembered for long, I guess that is how it should be. Wonder if that Last.fm group gets their name from this song? Shitty group with members with shitty taste, but that is to be expected. Eyes so heavily weighted for the past few days, transition to zombie state has been completed it seems. To be so filled by just one girl, what a strange and scary feeling, always the threat of rejection looming around the dimly lit corner of conversation. 2nd straight rambling where Saetia rears its head, almost never hear these guys when random is on. Sometimes I can't help feeling numb either, but I disagree about the closed hands and open arms bit. You could hold a box or pieces of lumber or a passed out victim with open arms and closed hands, don't need hands for that. Static, always the static. Saw someone sit somewhere for 10 minutes and then move to another seat and sit there for the remainder of the time, wonder what that was about. Write in one section and read in the other? What's the difference? Told myself to listen to more Palatka, haven't gotten around to it yet, I guess this song counts as more though. Shaving is fucking pointless, it grows back in two fucking days it seems like. So bothersome, shaving and school and eating and walking and talking and texting. Things that must be done though if you want to not appear completely disconnected. Barely keeping eyes open, going under soon, hope to catch up on sleep over the weekend. Probably not though, papers to be written and methods to be studied. Ruination, always wondered what was with him talking in that accent sometimes during the live shows. So worried on Monday that the past had come to haunt me and relieved on Wednesday to see it was just a pretender, a poor man's version. Alesana, they played a free show somewhere in Texas last night along with A Skylit Drive and Enter Shikari...not sure if I would have gone if I lived in the area even though I'm sure I would have...looked like all the other kids that would've been there. Probably one of my favorite cover of a song, My Sharona (The Knack) by The Number Twelve Looks Like You. Can't wait to hear their new album. How dare she correct my sentence structure like that! Fucking comma splice my ass, semi colons are unattractive and I'm pretentious enough to use whatever punctuations I want when being interesting and fey. Cro-Mags, what motivated me to listen to these guys again? Oh, right, whatever. She left pretty early today, I did feel like shit at that point in time though, fucking cold air in the air. Mapped out some potential shots earlier, not sure if they're all good ideas that I will implement, we'll see next week I guess. Always guessing. Still can not believe things are unfolding just as I had imagined they would, it's like a fucking movie or something where everything just falls into place. But I've seen how those movies end...Goddamn, Gauge Means Nothing sounds so fucking japanese it is not even funny. Bells and twinkling and that anime sounding chick...that reminds me, was going to start on book one of the Fruits Basket manga Saturday. Might wait until next Saturday though.

Been a while since I've done one of these...

Neversoft is no longer working on the Tony Hawk games, a good thing if you ask me :/ The series should still continue on though and apparently with the next game, you won't play it using a controller, but instead use "incorporate accelerometer technology"
Funcom has slashed the Age of Conan servers from 49 to 18 in order "to maintain a healthy player community"
Congressman Joe Baca wants to pass a bill that would require a warning label on video games, much like on cigarettes :/
